New moon Cake

Randi and I spent about 8 hours on this cake. We entered it in the Cake Central New Moon cake contest. i hope we place. It was so much fun to work with Randi. That girls got some mad skills! The bottom is chocolate cake covered in marble fondant. The Buildings were made of rice krispy treats and the clock tower back was covered in dark coca candy melts (IT WAS SO DELICIOUS.... TOO BAD I ALREADY ATE IT ALL.!) Randi made the fountain out of krispy treats and covered it in light grey fondant. She also covered the buildings tiney square by square in fondant. (she's a quick one though) I made the Red robed towns-people out of rice krispy treats, cloaked and hooded in red fondant. Bella and edward kissing under the clock tower were made of gum paste. They were fun.

Baby shower cake

The inside of this cake was pink, white and black. The same way i did the halloween cupcakes. It took me all day to get the first design done, then when i woke up the day it was due, i took everything off, refrosted and redid everything. I love the way it turned out. So much better than the first. No where near my original plan due to more than a few mishaps and mistakes ( i was also trying to teach my sister in law to make frosting and fondant). let me know what you think!

baby shower cake

i had no idea what i was doing on this cake, it just started happening. I wish i would have known about fondant then...

Easter KaMI cake

ah yes. The Kami cake. The day Kamryn came home from the hospital, Gail, Kristi, and the kids

came by and made us bbq pork sandwhiches (with lots of yummy leftovers for future lunches) and Gail made a delicious angel food cake with pinapple/vanilla & whip cream filling and fresh berries between each layer. Since then i've been calling it Kami cake and it has a wonderful summer or spring taste. I know cover the whole cake in the mixture and and decorate with the fresh fruit too.
